Jacksonville: Hurricane Irma

A few weeks after Harvey hit Houston, Hurricane Irma hit Jacksonville Florida in September, 2017, resulting in the worst floodding in the city's 250-year history. Water levels rose more than 5 feet in some locations, inundating downtown streets and damaging homes and businesses. Irma resulted in 134 deaths and left behind an estimated $70 billon in damages.

One of the original computer coders for AT&T, starting in the 70's, Christine was stuck for 25 hours in traffic trying to return to Jacksonville after the storm. She wonders whether anyone has figured out the evacuation plan for when an even bigger catastaphe hits the peninsula of Florida.
